Please read the important care instructions below.
- Before cleaning any lamp shade or fixture, disconnect the power source (unplug from outlets).
- To clean Meyda products made of opaque stained glass, art glass or jadestone, as well as most metal lamp bases and fixture frames, apply a lemon oil-based furniture polish to a soft cloth, and wipe gently.
- To clean shades made of mica or fabric, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster.
- To clean Meyda products made of beveled or transparent glass, apply a household glass cleaner to a soft cloth, and wipe gently.
- For fixtures hanging near cooking areas in kitchens, that may have heavy layers of greasy buildup or dirt, we have found Mr. Clean Top Job® works best for cleaning. Apply the cleaner to a soft cloth, and wipe gently. After cleaning, reapply lemon-oil based furniture polish to the shade, for best results.
- To clean Lithophane porcelain lamps, apply soft cloth with warm soapy water. If stain exists on non-colored area, you can apply scouring powder. Clean and dry with soft cloth, like a fine piece of China. CAUTION: Hold lamp securely when cleaning because liquid makes porcelain slippery.
STEEL OR WROUGHT IRON:
Like a car, steel frames need to be cared for and maintained to preserve the finish. The corrosion of steel is unavoidable. Any frame areas that show signs of corrosion should to be attended to immediately. Use mild soap and water with sponge or rag for normal cleaning. Recondition the finish by: Using a clear liquid automotive wax. This will protect and restore shine to the finish.
If Covering Rust with touch up paint: Clean area with navel jelly. Let it set for a few minutes, then wipe clean with warm soapy water. Repeat steps if necessary. You may slightly abrade the surface with a fine steel wool pad in order for the touch up paint to better adhere to the metal. Please wipe clean before using touch up paint. When applying touch up paint, please use thin coats.
Twice a year the frames should be washed with a solution of mild soap and water, and then a good quality automotive wax should be applied to the smooth surfaces. Use a clear liquid wax on all textured finishes.

If something is wrong with your furniture, we will do everything we can to help you. If there are any problems with the quality of the materials or workmanship of a product, we will adjust, repair, or replace based on our assessment. Often the manufacturer wants to be contacted directly. Meyda handles part replacements or warranty claims. There will be a note in the literature that comes with your furniture that will direct you on who to call in the event that parts are needed or a damage claims needs to be filed. Damaged Goods: Open boxes immediately upon receipt. Contact us within 24 hours if damaged goods are discovered. Take pictures of all damaged goods. Hold goods in original cartons and packaging. For obvious external damage (cardboard dented, corners crushed, carton gouged, tape/seal broken, footprints, etc.,) rattling or an Impact Indicator showing probable internal damage, open carton in the presence of the driver and instruct him or her to note damage in their log. Claims will not be honored if reported 72 hours after the receipt of goods.
Receipt of Goods via Common Carrier: All packages and merchandise must be inspected thoroughly by Buyer in front of the driver before signing the Delivery Receipt. By signing the DR, or Delivery Receipt, Buyer is verifying that the merchandise was received in good condition. Buyer must note significant details on the DR before signing, not limited to whether the shrink wrap is broken or missing from the palletized shipment, whether the merchandise is still palletized or delivered loose and/or whether the cartons look distressed in any way (cardboard dented, corners crushed, carton gouged, tape/seal broken, footprints on the box, etc.) Buyer must not rely on a verbal report to the driver. This action will prove to be invaluable if merchandise has been damaged in transit and the damage is not immediately apparent. Failure to perform this duty may result in the rejection of damage claims.
Item Changes: Our manufacturer Meyda will occasionally make design changes which may include variation in color, shape and size. Catalog photographs, artist sketches and specifications may vary from actual product. Color variations are an expected occurrence and not a reason to invalidate a purchase, waive restock fees or reduce compensation due for merchandise.
Order Processing and Shipment:
Our manufacturers are located in Texas, Florida, Georgia, California, Montana, North Carolina and New York. All of our furniture is shipped supplier-direct to the buyer. If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within four to seven business days from the date of your order. Customized orders may take longer. Should you customized your order, you will be notified of delivery times.
We ship via UPS, FedEx, and DHL for larger freight. ETA times can vary depending on the carrier. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at firstname.lastname@example.org or our online chat, available 24/7.
REFUND / RETURN POLICY
If there are any problems with the quality of the materials or workmanship of a product, please contact us. We will adjust, repair, or replace based on our assessment.
It is recommended that you open the Box as soon as possible and inspect for concealed damages. Please take pictures of any damages and send to email@example.com.
Please notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org for all returns. All returns/exchanges must be approved and authorized by our manufacture. Unauthorized returns will warrant neither credit nor refund. Meyda Custom Lighting reserves the right to reject any returns.
Returns must utilize all original boxes and packing material and be received in resalable condition. Stocked merchandise returned for any reason other than damage or defect is subject to a 30% restock fee. See warranty for information pertaining to defect.
Custom items and merchandise under $25.00 may not be returned for any reason.
Made-to-Order merchandise returned for any reason other than damage or defect is subject to a 50% restock fee. See warranty for information pertaining to defect.
Once accepted, orders for custom and made-to-order items may not be cancelled. Orders for which cancellation is accepted will have refund reduced by costs incurred up to the applicable restock fee.
Customer is responsible for shipping charges on merchandise returned for reasons other than manufacturer defect or damage during shipping. See warranty for information pertaining to defect.
Deposits and payments are non-refundable.
We work very hard to ensure that we offer the absolute best prices online. If you find another online store that offers a lower price then us within six months of your purchase date please let us know and we will refund your original payment for the difference. We want you to feel confident that you are getting the absolute best price for the product you are ordering. If you find that our own website has a lower price for the same item you have ordered within six months of your purchase date will refund the difference as well.
To request your partial refund simply e-mail us a link to the same product on our website, or on our competitors website within six months from the date of your order and we will process the credit accordingly.
